Our Purpose

The purpose of this seminary is to provide basic spiritual training and continuing education opportunities for the Fivefold Ministry Gifts, Christian Leaders, and Christian Workers, in the Body of Christ on both the local and international level. This task is achieved with a total commitment to the Bible as the final authority in all matters. Our basis of fellowship with other believers is the recognition that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and the only way to the Father, representing the fullness of truth and godly living according to John 14:6-7 and John 10:7-16.

Who We Are

BFIS Statement of Faith

We believe in the Bible as the divinely-inspired Word of God, the revelation of His mind and will to man, our infalliable, all sufficient guide for salvation and for the Christian life.

We believe in one God, the Creator of all, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

We believe in the deity of the Lord Jesus Christ, that He is true God, and true man begotten of the Holy Spirit, born of virgin, and that He had a perfect and sinless humanity.

We believe in the depravity of the nature of man through his fall in the Garden of Eden and the absolute inability of man to save himself from eternal punishment by his own works.

We believe in the finished work of Christ on the cross of Calvary, through which sacrifice Christ has affected complete and eternal redemption.

We believe that man was created in the image of God and that he was tempted by Satan and fell, and that because of the exceeding sinfulness of human nature, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely necessary for salvation.

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is the Head of the Church, and the only High Priest and Advocate over the House and Family of God.

We believe that the Holy Spirit, the Third Person of the Trinity, though omnipresent from all eternity, took up his abode in the world on the day of Pentecost according to the divine promise, to dwell in every believer.

We believe in the rapture of the church, and the bodily resurrection of both the saved and the lost; those who are saved unto the resurrection of life and those who are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.

We believe that God's plan for this age as expressed in the great commission involves not only the evangelizing of the world, but also the teaching and training of those that are evangelized to fulfill their God ordained destiny and purpose as expressed and revealed in the word of God.

We believe that accordig to Ephesians 4:8-16 " ....Jesus led captivity and gave gifts unto men...." Those gifts are the ministry office Gifts of Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors and Teachers, and are given for "...the perfecting of th saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the Body of Christ..." often referred to as the fivefold ministry gifts, and they will operate in the Body of Christ unitl the church becomes a "...glorious church without spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing..." (Ephesians 5:26-27) .

Apostle, Dr. Alfred E. Kornegay is the CEO and Presiding Elder of Christian Faith Center International, Inc. with its corporate headquarters in Smithfield, North Carolina. He and his wife Dr. Pamela J Kornegay are also the founders of Bible Faith International Fellowship of Smithfield, North Carolina, which is a local church representing the first phase of a faith based community of believers proficient in the fullness of Christian living.

About The President

Dr. Kornegay has been preaching and teaching the Gospel for over thirty years. God saved Apostle Kornegay on July 3rd, 1977. he , along with his wife, Prophetess and Co-laborer Pamela J. Kornegay, joined the Church of God of Prophecy in Smithfield, NC on July 10th, 1977 and he acknowledge his call into the ministry in October of 1977. Apostle Kornegay was licensed in the Church of God of Prophecy in 1978 and assisted the Senior Pastors of the Church of God of Prophecy in Smithfield and Clayton for the next six years. He also held several local and district church positions during those years, and started hosting and broadcasting the "Bible Faith Broadcast". Dr. Kornegay was appointed as a State Missionary Director for the Church of God Prophecy in July of 1984, and commissioned to start a new church in Elizabethtown, NC. In addition, He started and organized the Elizabethtown Church of God of Prophecy in October of 1984 and pastored there until July of 1986.

Dr. Kornegay, operating in the spirit and anointing of the Apostle Paul began to assist in the setting up, organizing, and incorporating of independent churches and ministries throughout North and South Carolina. In June 1988, he organized and pastored Bible Faith Assemble of God, Inc., which was one church in two locations, Elizabethtown, and Clarkton, NC. In July of 1992 Dr. Kornegay organized and pastored Bible Faith Christian Center, Inc. in Whiteville, NC.

In 1994 under the direction of the Holy Spirit, Dr. Kornegay was instructed to merge Bible Faith Christian Center with God's Gift Fellowship Church pastored by Apostle Michael and Pastor Arline Fields in Lumberton, NC. He was also instructed to submit himself to them as the Apostles' Peter, James, and John were submittted to Jesus. Under the leadership of Apostle Fields he served as the Executive Pastor and during his tenure assisted Apostle Fields in the spiritual oversite and administration of more than forty churches locally and internationally.

Dr. Kornegay has a genuine proven Apostolic call on his life, with the wholehearted desirre to infiltrate the world with the word of God. Dr. Kornegay hosted the "Bible Faith Broadcast" for fifteen years. He has also assisted in the organization and the incorporation of twelve other churches and non-profit entities to date. Dr. Kornegay has authored and self-published five books intitled "God's Blueprint for Manhood", "God's Bluepringt for Marriage" and "Spiritual Protocal (Vols. 1-3)". He is called to impact, impart, and activate the Ministry Gifts of the Spirit in order to establish, and reinforce strong spiritual leadership in the body of Christ. Dr. Alfred E. Kornegay is dedicated to perfecting the saints and training ministers, and ministries to fulfill the last days' mandate of God.
